Dayun Meici Dazzles on the Expo Stage

As a key partner, Dayun Meici, a Shanghai high-fashion porcelain brand, captivated attendees with its stunning “2025 Old Money Style” series, a standout feature of the event.

Established in 2018 in Shanghai, Dayun Meici is recognized as China’s first high-temperature porcelain fashion brand and has been honored as a “High Fashion Brand” by the Shanghai High Fashion Week. Guided by the philosophy that “innovation is the best form of传承 (inheritance),” and adhering to a craftsman spirit of “antique techniques as the bone, fashion as the wing,” the brand is dedicated to preserving classic Chinese craftsmanship and aesthetic principles. It aims to reinterpret modern aesthetic objects by “endowing classics with fashion,” offering a lifestyle that reflects Eastern wisdom in a contemporary context.

Particular attention was drawn to Dayun Meici’s “2025 Black Glaze Serpentine Pattern Old Money Style” series displayed at the Expo. This collection, which had previously garnered positive feedback during a May Japan-South Korea economic and trade tour, is based on classic Song Dynasty black glaze. It innovatively incorporates a high-temperature firing technique that creates a subtle, gradient serpentine pattern. The combination of the two glazes, masterfully applied to the forms and fired at high temperatures, results in elegant, dynamic, and highly artistic pieces that represent the sophisticated style of Shanghai fashion aesthetics. The exhibited items, including not only tea sets but also coffee cups and liqueur glasses, attracted significant attention and admiration from visitors.

Furthermore, Dayun Meici was invited by the event organizers to provide its comprehensive craftsmanship “Owner’s Cup” blind boxes as official gifts. These were highly praised by representatives from the Expo 2025 Osaka Association and guests from the Sino-Japanese art and design communities. Many attendees noted that Dayun Meici’s products not only demonstrate the exquisite craftsmanship of Eastern porcelain but also communicate a unique brand aesthetic through modern design language, serving as an elegant bridge connecting Chinese and Japanese cultures.
